This was organised with eight groups; Action for Sick Children Scotland, Muslim Women’s Association of Edinburgh, Female Association of Young Muslims in Edinburgh, World Peace Prayer Society, United Nations Association, UNA Darfur Training Committee.

Some groups put up the advertisement of the event on their website. People were continuously coming in and each group raised their funds. Among groups and guests lots of contact details were exchanged. WFWP Scotland raised £137 for our projects next year.

Image3.    THE DIVERSITY WEEK MULTI-CULTURAL EVENT 30th November 2008

WFWP Scotland was invited to the multi-cultural event in Livingston organised by West Lothian Council. The event included a pipe band, Indian dance, African music. We were able to promote our local WFWP activities and demonstrate Origami. Heidrun, Harumi, Tae and  Kazue represented WFWP. Origami was very popular and attracted a lot of interest. Many ladies came to our information table and Heidrun explained our aim and activities. We could sell goods from the fundraising event the precious day, and bookmarkers with names in Japanese were very welcomed. One lady asked us to come to their after-school club and others were very interested in our events. The organiser Caroline, was very happy with our effort. We hope we will be invited next year again
