ImageProfessor Bradley who teaches sociology at Bristol University was the main speaker at our event. On the 10th October, We had our first Bridge of Peace reunion in Bristol. More than 40 guests attend

ImageProfessor Bradley gave a inspirational talk about ‘Women Empowering Women’.
Our second speaker Mrs. Adeela Shafi who is a candidate of the Conservative party for the upcoming election  At our meeting we were proud to recognize and announce that one of our ambassadors for peace was awarded an MBE by the Queen. The newcomers who came to the reunion were able to receive a peace sisters as well We were very fortunate to have had 2 talented young dancers and one incredible young singer to provide some entertainment. But most of all, I was very moved about a statement from two ladies who became sisters from last Bridge of Peace.

ImageImage Since the last meeting they had kept frequent contact with each other and they built up such a wonderful bond over the year, they expressed how grateful they were for being the given the opportunity to meet through Bridge of Peace. A true example of what Bridge of Peace is trying to achieve. Many people did not want to go home even after the event finished and they were talking to us how the event was so beautiful and want to come again.

We went to shops and restaurants to ask some vouchers for our event so we could collect raffle prizes. The shops and restaurants we approached were generous and we were able to get hold of some fabulous prizes. One Chinese restaurant gave away a beautiful china dinner set. One beauty spa donated a £20 voucher as a prize.
